GM02SP fails after some time in operation?

Hi,

We have a device using the GM02SP modem on the Walter module. We have a number in service and after months of perfect operation, issues are cropping up.

  1. Modules stopped accepting TLS certificate uploads via AT+SQNSNVW. Same code and certificate that worked before, resulted in CME Error 4.
  2. Modules stop accepting AT+CGDCONT, despite no other changes, results in CME Error 4.
  3. On trying to factory reset, despite successfully creating a restore point, AT+SQNSFACTORYRESET just gives “ERROR”.

By some fluke, I did manage to reset one of the failed modules after a lot of goes and it worked again, but I can’t seem to repeat the trick.

Version is: 8.2.1.0 [61488]

Any thoughts?

Hi Thomas,

1\ Could you get the output of “AT+CFUN?”
2\ May I know if you can connect to UART2(console) of LTE modem? If the answer is positive, could you share the console log as well?

Hi Thomas,

I see there is Zendesk ticket(#15174) for similar issue here(AT command return “ERROR”).
Could you confirm it is raised by your team member for this issue? If the answer is positive, then I propose we can track issue on Zendesk instead of SQN Forum.
